dragonGRaf project page

hi, i'm dragonGRaf :D

i'm originally from Switzerland and currently based in the US. i make websites, browser tools, Discord bots and random utilities, but most of my development time lately has somehow turned into SpicyChat QoL xD

QoL started on June 26, 2026 as a tiny Tampermonkey userscript i made for myself. v0.0.1 was basically auto tags, premium/notification hiding, a blocklist and opened-chat hiding. it somehow turned into a public browser extension, Android app, diagnostic/testing tools, a website, Discord community + bot, and a bunch of related SpicyChat tooling xD

store counts are kept as separate metrics because Chrome and Firefox can include the same person. store snapshot updated Sep 24, 2026.
Selected SpicyChat work

the project kinda became an ecosystem.

the full QoL feature list already lives on /features, so this is the shorter version: what i built, why it exists, and what kind of work went into it.

A
Android

SpicyChat QoL Android

a dedicated Android wrapper that runs the shared QoL features with mobile-friendly handling instead of trying to pretend a phone is just another desktop browser.

  • persistent login + navigation-safe QoL injection
  • local settings import/export
  • normal QoL updates can update without needing a new APK every time
S
Safari beta

SpicyChat QoL Safari Lite

i don't have an iPhone or Mac to test a real Safari app on and i'm not paying $99/year just for that xD. so i went back to QoL's userscript roots and made a small experimental version for Safari.

  • chat folders and bot organizer tools
  • quick-save, local discovery and JSON backups
  • free Userscripts install, but definitely beta

less than the full browser extension, and still needs testing on actual iOS devices.

I
Diagnostics

SpicyChat Inspector

a separate diagnostic extension for figuring out what happened when SpicyChat freezes, stutters, or takes too long to render a reply — rather than just guessing what caused the slowdown.

  • Long Tasks, slow frames and DOM activity
  • network requests, errors and page lifecycle signals
  • chat rendering and optional detailed QoL diagnostics

Firefox is live. Chrome is planned but its store listing isn't public yet. See the Inspector page for screenshots, features and download links.

Data / website

SpicyChat Chatbot Stats

a separate site/tool for my SpicyChat bot collection with current totals, trends, history, activity views, category/origin comparisons and data health checks.

BOT
Discord

QoL Discord Bot

the community bot around the project: version/download/support helpers, creator-follow notifications and other QoL-specific commands. public user-app commands can be installed without joining the server.

WEB
Public site

spicychatqol.drache.uk

the public project hub for releases, features, changelogs, support, Android, the experimental demo and the stuff i'm adding around the extension itself.

where possible the site reads current public release data directly from GitHub instead of me manually duplicating everything.

G
Guides · WIP

SpicyChat Guides

there's a lot of useful bot/creator advice buried in old Discord threads, so i started putting it together somewhere people can actually find it again :D

bot creation, Personas, Lorebooks, Rulebooks, Group Chats and more, with links back to the original sources instead of losing where the information came from.

the human-readable guides are still WIP and being reviewed, not official SpicyChat documentation.

AR
Archive / data

SpicyChat Archive

another separate project i've been working on: a historical archive for publicly discoverable SpicyChat characters and Lorebooks.

it tracks public listings and availability over time, keeps previously observed public details, and makes older records searchable even when something later becomes unavailable.

independent community archive, not an official SpicyChat database.

QoL UI

what the settings actually look like.

these are some starter screenshots from the current extension settings. more in-page QoL screenshots can be added later; if u want to actually click around the experimental demo, that's still over on /demo.

what i'm working on right now

mostly making the existing stuff better.

the extension already has enough features to keep me busy xD so most of my current work is bug fixing, performance improvements, compatibility testing and cleaning up things that grew during the 0.1.9.x → 0.2 cycle.

Active

Bug fixes + performance

reducing repeated work, checking long-history behavior, fixing regressions and using Inspector captures when something needs more than guessing.

Active

Browser + Android compatibility

keeping the shared QoL code working across Chrome/Chromium, Firefox and the Android wrapper while SpicyChat itself keeps changing too.

Background project

Custom / Lite builder

i'm slowly working toward a website builder where people could pick the QoL modules/features they actually want instead of automatically taking the entire full build.

Always

Feedback + ideas

i regularly go through the feedback + ideas thread and that is where a lot of new features start. bug/error reports can turn into fixes or helpers too if there is something useful i can do with them.

how i build / test things

“this feels broken” is the start, not the diagnosis.

i usually start with something that annoys me, something somebody suggested in feedback/ideas, or a bug/error somebody reports. then i reproduce it, figure out what is actually happening, build a fix/tool, test it, and let other people find the things i missed xD

1idea / feedback / bugsomething is annoying, missing, requested or broken
2reproducereduce variables and confirm what actually happens
3buildprototype the smallest useful version
4measure + testbrowser/device checks, diagnostics where needed
5users break itfeedback catches setups i don't have
6fix + releaserepeat basically forever :D
performance

Long-history chat lag

when large chats started behaving badly, i used dedicated diagnostic captures instead of treating every slowdown as “QoL is slow.” Inspector records things like Long Tasks, animation-frame blocking, DOM activity and render timing, and i've run long/clean-profile captures to separate native behavior from extension work where possible.

cross-platform

Android wrapper

rather than making a completely separate Android feature set, the app reuses the shared QoL code and adds the mobile-specific pieces around it: WebView handling, persistent login, navigation-safe injection, settings import/export and updating.

data / UI

Exact public message counts

instead of making a separate request for every bot, QoL can use the exact public count already returned in SpicyChat's listing data and replace the rounded card value. that keeps the feature useful without turning it into a pile of extra per-card requests.

built with users, not just for users

making it public was kinda the point.

QoL started as something i was making for myself, but pretty quickly there wasn't much point in fixing/improving all this stuff if only i could use it xD

since then people have tested builds, reported bugs, suggested features and explained how they use SpicyChat on setups i don't have. i also regularly go through the feedback + ideas thread for things people want, and a lot of later features came directly from that. bugs/errors sometimes turn into QoL fixes or helpers too if i can actually do something useful there.

1700+messages from me in the SpicyChat Discord alone. obviously not all of that is QoL xD, but i've been pretty active there with troubleshooting, feature/bug discussions, creator stuff and general community help.

Community / moderation

Discord experience

i've been running/moderating Discord communities since around 2017–2018 as an owner, admin and moderator. in the SpicyChat community i've also helped users troubleshoot things and privately reported problematic bots to moderators when something looked like it needed staff review.

i'm not part of SpicyChat's official moderation team.

SpicyChat Beta testing

a separate test account for compatibility work.

SpicyChat Support gave my dedicated qol_extension_test account Beta Tester access so i can test QoL development and compatibility against upcoming platform changes while keeping my normal account separate.

i already made this public in the QoL thread, so i'm fine mentioning it here too. it isn't “official endorsement” of QoL or employment or anything like that — it's access for development/testing.

open source + contributions

yes, people can contribute xD

i'm still doing basically all of the development right now, but the project isn't meant to be closed around me. there's a full contributing guide and bug reports, testing feedback and code contributions are welcome.

the project rules also cover things i care about keeping consistent: optional user-facing features, local-first behavior where practical, browser/Android compatibility and not adding unnecessary full-page/full-chat work.

community feedback

other stuff i've worked on

QoL definitely wasn't the first random project.

most of my current development is under DragonScript, but i've been making websites, Discord bots, game tools and other utilities for quite a while. a lot of the older stuff isn't actively maintained anymore, but it's still useful as examples of what i've built before QoL.

one of my favorites

Discord Voice Activity Tracker Bot

a self-hosted Discord bot that tracks lifetime/monthly/weekly voice activity, saves locally, syncs to Google Sheets and can make automatic VC snapshot images when channels get busy.

@dragongraf on Discord

i'm especially interested in frontend/UI work, QA/testing, community/moderation and product tooling around SpicyChat, but i'm pretty flexible if the work overlaps with the kind of stuff i'm already doing.
